Most of the quality restaurants are to be found in downtown Reno, but there are others scattered about the region. Here is a listing of favorites and others throughout the area, but please be sure to check into the respective shopping hub for more details and as to what else is in the area.

Bruno’s Country Club, Bar & Restaurant

World-famous Bruno’s is one of the most hospitable and memorable establishments on the planet. Enjoy large menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options in the restaurant with the warmest of service, as well as drinks in the bar next door with service and, both locals and travelers, that makes you feel right at home.

Burger Me

Open daily 11am-9pm. Local burger joint with an unusual, tasty menu from traditional burgers and fries to ahi, bison, or gyro burgers. gluten-free buns, vegetarian options, salads, and beer and wine also on the menu. They also serve ice cream, sundaes and such to harden your arteries with glee.

China Buffet

Open daily 11am-9:30pm. Comes highly recommended for all-you-can-eat and large menu of items at great prices for quality Chinese food.

Country Hearth

Open Mon-Sat 6am-9pm, Sun 7am-1pm and 5pm-8pm. Offering hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and fresh bakery items.

Eclipse Pizza
3950 Mayberry Drive – 775-747-4343 – (West McCarran)
Not your normal pizza place, this pizzeria offers artisan pizzas with lots of topping choices. Check out the “secret menu” on their website for some of their latest creations!

Einstein Brothers Bagels
5050 Kietzke Lane – 775-825-1045 – (South McCarran)
Open Mon-Fri 5:30am-5pm, Sat-Sun 6:30am-4pm. Bagels, coffee, tea … and you can charge your EV vehicle too, if you have one. 240V. Free charging for customers during business hours, or 24 hour accessible with an MyChargePoint.net account/card.

The Fix Falafel Food Truck
Usually operating Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays around Downtown Reno. Find where they are via Facebook. Specializing in all-vegan and really affordable falafel wraps, tacos, sandwiches, chicken-less wings, and seaweed or garlic fries.

Great Basin Brewery & Restaurant (two locations)

Open 10am-10pm daily. Popular spot among local burners and a big supporter of the community, with real good beer and food.

Great Full Gardens (two locations)

Open 8am-9pm, Sun 8am-2pm. Great Full Gardens is one of the very best sit-down, casual restaurants to get really great, but affordable food in the region, particularly organic and locally-sourced, whether you’re an omnivore, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, and all with outstanding, friendly customer service. Particular favorites are their waffles, sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, bowls, tacos, desserts, and smoothies.

High Rock Pizza

Located next to the old Oasis Motel. Open 11am until 9pm from Wed. 8/24 until Tue. 9/06 although later hours during peak Burner migration times. Owned and operated by long-time Burners, get some of the best pizza on the planet before, during, or after the playa. Offering a wide variety of pizza pies, including vegan and gluten-free options, as well as salads and beverages.

Homegrown Gastropub
719 South Virginia Street – 775-683-9989 – (Downtown-Midtown)
Open daily 8am-midnight. Some of the best, slightly upscale food and drinks in one of the most cozy of locations in the region. Many options, including for vegetarians and vegans. Highly recommended.

India Kabob & Curry

Open daily 11:30am-10:30pm, with lunch buffet from 11:30 til 3:00. One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Most notably, they have a pretty darn good lunch buffet that is fairly affordable, with plenty of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Laughing Planet (2 locations)

Open 11am-9pm. Laughing Planet is a laid-back casual and fun place for people of all ages. They specialize in bowls, wraps, burritos, soups, salads, and smoothies, with many vegan and gluten-free options, and have a nice beer selection.

Los Gallos Tacqueria
440 North Virginia Street – 775-324-2549 – (Downtown-Midtown)
Open 10am-10pm. A traditional, family-run Tacqueria, and to many, the very best, un-californicated, Mexican food in town. Vegetarian-friendly, but not really much options for vegans.

Louie’s Basque Corner

Open Mon 4pm-930pm, Tue-Sat 11am-9:30pm, Sun 4pm-930pm. The legendary and highly recommended Louie’s provides a memorable Basque lunch and dinner experience.

Louie’s China Bistro

Open daily 11am-9:30pm. Highly recommended for a wide variety of chinese food at reasonable prices.

Mary and Moe’s Wigwam

Open daily 5am-10pm. Traditional American faire. Also has museum and casino.

Max’s Sandwich Shop

Open Tues-Sat 7am-2pm. Sandwiches and wifi. A couple of veggie options on the menu, but not much for vegans.

Moo Dang
1565 South Virginia Street – 775-420-4267 – (Downtown-Midtown)
Open Tue-Thur 11am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am-9pm, Sun 3pm-9pm. Moo Dang provides for many the best and most authentic Thai food in town according to many, Moo Dang has so many tasty plates, including vegan and gluten-free options. Also has a really very nice sake, wine, and beer selection.

Noble Pie Pizza Co.

Open Mon-Tue 11am–midnight, Wed 11am-2am, Thu 11am-4am, Fri and Sat 11am–6am, Sun 11am–9pm. The best pizza in town and a very popular hangout for many. They also have a lot of other options – such as calzones, strombolis, wings, salads, and many appetizers – including options for vegans and vegetarians, and a nice beer, wine, and spirits selection. And, of course, they deliver.

Nom Eats

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 5pm-9pm. Inside the West Street Market. Formerly the Nom Eats Food Truck, now offering a great variety of tasty vegan foods with indoor/outside seating. Best to text to place order beforehand.

Nu Yalk Pizza

Open Sun-Thur 11am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am-10pm. Popular place for pizza with many options and using organic ingredients.

Old Granite Street Eatery

Open Mon-Thur 11am-10pm, Sat 10am-11pm, Sun 10am-3pm. Great food for omnivores, vegetarians, vegans and gluten free using food mostly from local farms and ranches. Also offers exceptional and unique cocktails. Highly recommended.

Oxbow Cafe and Bistro

Open Tue-Fri 7:30am-8:00pm, Sat 8:00am-8:00pm, Sun 8:00am-4:00pm. A brand new restaurant providing high quality breakfast, lunch and dinner options for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Nice wine selection and espresso bar. In the arts district, so a great place to get some food while checking out some of the neighboring art spaces.

Located in the Raley’s shopping center, The Pizza Factory is a family-owned restaurant that has very good food and wonderful hospitality, and they really love to take care of us! Providing a wide range of pizza, sandwich, and pasta options, including for vegans and vegetarians. Comes highly recommended!

Steve’s Homemade Ice Cream

Whalen’s Public House
